Building Operations
Building Operators ensure our buildings run smoothly and efficiently. They play a critical role in the business by ensuring that building systems are maintained and safe. The building operator stream allows for numerous growth opportunities within the team.
Building Operator
Assist in the efficient, effective and successful management of all base building equipment and systems. Ensure our buildings are being managed and maintained in a safe, presentable and environmentally friendly manner.
Summer Students
One of the best ways of entering the real estate industry is by gaining valuable experience while you’re still a student. Our summer student program is designed to give college and university students an opportunity to learn some of the fundamentals while exposing them to the wide variety of career options available at GWLRA.
How it works
Once students arrive in early May, they’re invited to an orientation session with several members of our executive team welcoming them and offering them career advice. They’re also invited and encouraged to take part in our staff socials to network and learn about their roles.
Over the course of the summer, students will get an opportunity to tour several of our buildings, providing them a first-hand view of what goes into managing our properties.
Next, we split our students into groups and provide them with a departmental project that utilizes several different skillsets. For example, this may include providing recommendations for amenities and in-suite features for new multi-residential projects.
Finally, in early August, the students present their findings to our Executive Committee.
